Spring Clean Up 2021
ARE YOU ALL READY FOR YOUR PICK?
Litter-picking is super super easy, very fun, and completely addictive, in fact, 79% of our volunteers agree it helps to improve their mood! But like anything, it’s important that you have the right kit and information to ensure that you stay safe.
In advance of you undertaking your pledged litter-pick for the Great British Spring Clean 2021, please ensure that you read our clean-up preparation advice, which contains important health & safety information.
Please also ensure that you check our website for the latest guidance on Covid-19 social distancing measures.PREPARE FOR YOUR CLEAN-UPCOVID-19 GUIDANCE

Clean Up Hounslow – Mission Statement
• Free Hounslow of rubbish and do our bit for climate change.
• Provide a platform for the local residents and businesses to raise concerns and highlight
these to the relevant authorities in an orderly and structured manner.
• To make residents aware of the systems, procedures and policies of the council and
where to go for help.
• Build a social connection to all activities relating to this neighbourhood and its
environment.
• To help LBH improve our borough throughout; at the same time, set an example for the
neighbouring boroughs and boroughs further afield.
• Together; finding ways to inspire people to change habits and improve our standard of
living.
• Establish a programme (in collaboration with LBH), to educate and change the culture of
all residents and visitors to this borough and promote a cleaner and more desirable
environment.
• Establish collaboration, support and exposure through LBH connections and Internet
platform.
• Provide volunteer ID’s and high-viz jackets with logos to the members and volunteers.
• Establish Safety measures.
• Help promote, fund and carryout fun activities and events such as ‘Borough clean up
days’, ‘World Clean Up Day’ and the forth coming national clean-up month being
organised by Keep Britain Tidy and the daily mail.
• Obtain sponsorships to achieve all of the above.
• End game: Clean up Hounslow–Keep it clean!
Fly Tippers at it again in Cranford
Fly Tipping and dumped rubbish in Kavsan Place in Cranford and dumped rubbish bags in Park Lane. Both reported to Fix My Street. The one in Kavsan Place can be seen from my window in Sheepcote Close, now a transformed sight from what used to be a green area with beautiful trees, birds, ducks mingling around and even ponies etc when this place was like a mini farm with its natural beauty and now to this transformation into a privately owned residential area…May God help Cranford from the kind of developments that Hounslow Borough Council is allowing to take place by the kind of planning permissions it (LB of H) grants.
